My goodness. The past week has been such a demonstration of the faithfulness of God. It has been unbelievable.
The progress of my vocal cords was so great and God proved Himself so faithful. I am continuing to pray for full healing and trust that I will be healed! Then came the story of our apartment. I was seriously being knocked down over and over. But again, God proved Himself to be faithful. We found a wonderful place willing to do a 6-month lease with the nicest landlord ever. And our old landlord gave us back even more money she owed us and we were able to pay for our new apartment. God is good and is the ultimate provider.
And yet another testimony of God's faithfulness began to unfold. On Thursday of last week, we applied to SPU housing as a last ditch effort of finding anywhere to live. Basically it was our last option in case we found nothing else. Once we found our apartment, I went in on Monday to cancel my application and get back my $300 deposit each of us had to make with the application. The lady who worked there coldly informed me that the deposit is forfeited when the application is withdrawn. Only if an SPU housing contract is fulfilled is the deposit returned. I was furious. This was not at all on the website and was not at all clear during the application process. We both could not afford $300 going to waste! After tears and anger, I finally gave it up to God. I trusted that He would work it out however it was supposed to be.
The woman said we could write a letter of appeal but she didn't think it would do anything. Angelique and I busted out the best letter of appeal anyone has ever seen. Ok, so not the best but it was awesome. We sent it and waited. We didn't hear back. I knew that God would work it out and I felt so much peace. The next day, we received an email saying that she would refund each of our deposits. Praise the Lord. God's faithfulness was again demonstrated in a big way.
It's crazy that, through how many trials I am facing, God's faithfulness is triumphing over all of them. I am in awe and my faith is strengthened even more. Our God is so good. I am continuing to believe for complete healing for my vocal cords and I would love if you continue to pray. I am positive that God is hearing us all and is faithful to respond.
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful." - Hebrews 10:23
Love this, love you :)
